About Me

I have spent my career helping organizations navigate periods of profound technological change. While my background spans enterprise storage, cybersecurity, cloud computing, telecommunications, and artificial intelligence, my work has always centered on a broader question: How should a business adapt when technology changes the rules? I have led business units, shaped corporate strategy, built new ventures, advised boards, and taught at MIT Sloan, helping executive teams rethink long-held assumptions and build practical strategies that create lasting competitive advantage during periods of disruption.

Career Highlights

I have held executive leadership roles across some of the technology industry's most significant transformations. At Dell Technologies, I served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Telecom Systems Business while leading corporate strategy initiatives focused on digital transformation. At EMC, I helped shape the company's security strategy, led the acquisition and integration of RSA Security, guided strategic planning through the transition to cloud computing, and participated in the creation of VCE alongside Cisco and VMware. Earlier in my career, I founded Storigen Systems, built Avid Technology's storage and networking business, served as an Executive in Residence at Bessemer Venture Partners, and have also served on corporate boards and taught Technology Sales and Sales Management at MIT Sloan.

Techquity Solutions

I help executive teams navigate moments of disruption when technology changes customer expectations, competitive dynamics, or the way their business must operate. Rather than focusing solely on technology implementation, I work with leaders to clarify business strategy, identify where technology can create sustainable competitive advantage, and build the organizational capabilities needed to execute successfully. My experience spans corporate strategy, business transformation, product strategy, M&A, cybersecurity, cloud computing, telecommunications, AI, and organizational leadership.

Innovation & Impact

  • Guided organizations through major technology transitions including cybersecurity, cloud computing, telecommunications, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence.
  • Developed corporate strategies that helped global technology businesses respond to changing markets and emerging competitive threats.
  • Led new venture creation, strategic acquisitions, and business transformation initiatives that translated technology innovation into commercial success.
  • Built and developed high-performing leadership teams by aligning business objectives with long-term career development and organizational growth.
  • Advised boards, founders, and executive teams on navigating paradigm shifts, balancing innovation with execution, and building sustainable competitive advantage.

Why Techquity?

I joined Techquity because I believe technology judgment has become one of the most important drivers of business success, yet it remains opaque for many executive teams outside the technology industry. The opportunity to bring that judgment to CEOs, boards, and investors through an advisory model is incredibly compelling. I'm equally excited by the potential for artificial intelligence to flatten and accelerate that model—dramatically reducing time to value for clients while amplifying the impact of experienced advisors. Just as importantly, Techquity gives me the flexibility to continue pursuing my interests in teaching, writing, entrepreneurship, and lifelong learning while helping organizations navigate their most important technology decisions.
