About Me

I have spent more than 30 years building technology products, teams, and ecosystems across cloud computing, consumer devices, telecommunications, financial services, digital media, and consulting. I am most energized by the challenge of taking a new concept, creating the organization and operating model around it, and helping customers, developers, and partners put the technology to work. My career has combined hands-on software and architecture experience with executive leadership, giving me a practical understanding of how technology decisions translate into adoption, scale, and business results.

Career Highlights

During 13 years at Amazon, I held senior leadership roles across AWS, Alexa, Fire TV, and the Amazon Appstore. At AWS, I helped the business mature from an early cloud platform into an enterprise ready organization, leading solutions architecture teams serving startups, venture capital firms, large enterprises, and specialist technology areas. I later built the worldwide solutions architecture organization for Alexa Voice Service, growing it from a one person function into a global team supporting hundreds of partners across around the globe. As a Director within Amazon Devices, I led solutions architecture, developer marketing, evangelism, technical writing, and developer support for Amazon Appstore, Fire TV, and Fire Tablet. I was responsible for building a new developer ecosystem for Vega OS, Amazon's new device OS and development tools. Earlier in my career, I served as CTO at DCM Consulting and TGP Associates, founded and led the New York Technology Council, and held software engineering and development leadership roles across telecommunications, financial services, digital media, and public sector ecommerce.

Techquity Solutions

I help leaders turn ambitious technology ideas into organizations and ecosystems that can execute at scale. My experience includes building technical field organizations across solutions architecture, solutions engineering, developer support, and technical account management; designing developer relations and developer marketing programs; shaping cloud and platform adoption strategies; developing strategic technology partnerships; and improving organizational design, hiring, mentorship, and operating discipline. I bring particular value when a company is launching a new platform, entering a new market, strengthening a customer facing technical function, or creating the playbooks needed to move from early success to repeatable growth.

Innovation & Impact

  • Built and scaled global customer and developer-focused technology organizations across AWS, Alexa, and Amazon Devices.
  • Grew Alexa Voice Service solutions architecture from a one person function into a global organization supporting hundreds of partners across many countries.
  • Helped AWS develop the playbooks, specialist capabilities, and enterprise practices required to support customers ranging from startups to large organizations.
  • Led the developer ecosystem strategy for Amazon Vega, including the tools, capabilities, and partner transition required to introduce a new operating system for Amazon devices.
  • Founded and led the New York Technology Council, securing major sponsors, assembling its board, and helping merge the organization with the New York Tech Meetup ecosystem.

Why Techquity?

I joined Techquity because its model aligns with how I want to work: alongside experienced leaders who are motivated by impact, sound judgment, and doing what is right for the client. Technology is evolving at a pace that can be difficult for even seasoned executives to absorb while running a business. Techquity provides a way to bring practical, senior level perspective to those decisions. It also gives me the opportunity to continue learning from accomplished peers while helping CEOs and leadership teams turn complex technology choices into clear action.
